Program description:

The ultimate challenge awaits green-thinking volunteers in the Lake Tahoe basin of Nevada. Physically fit and raring to go people are needed to help reduce tourism’s negative impact on the fragile ecosystems in the region. Nimble-fingered volunteers will be constructing and maintaining trails, replanting native vegetation and removing invasive plant species. Any 'Bob the Builders' among you may also learn the art of dry stone masonry to construct retaining walls, switchbacks, water bars and riprap erosion control barriers.
