|
Volunteers working in a conservation project in Nepal will engage themselves in nursery works and care of seedlings and these nurtured seeds will later be distributed to the villagers in various parts of Nepal . The works include: digging, preparing nursery beds, sowing seeds, weeding, trimming, pruning, filling plastic bags, applying water, and any work related to nursery. Other tasks may include planting, collecting seeds, replanting, eliminating diseased trees and inventory of fauna and flora depending on the season
Rustic Volunteer Travel presently supports a small orphanage and school in Chitwan. So, volunteers working in a conservation project can teach English or work in the orphanage in free time. This can be arranged up on your arrival in Nepal.
Rustic Volunteer Travel manages room/food (consisting of local fare) for volunteers. Volunteers live with the host family and we manage a separate, simple, clean and modest room as well as local meals three times a day. Volunteer will also have 24/7 access to our office in Nepal and mobile number of our coordinators. Our staffs also visit volunteers in each 1-2 week interval as a part of the program. Conservation projects are available in Kathmandu (capital city of Nepal with places of great tourist attractions like Thamel, Patan, Swaymbhu, etc.) and Chitwan (Royal Bengal Tiger and the Great One Horned Rhino Mt Everest) , with shops, banks & internet cafes nearby. Nepal is renowned for its spectacular landscape and deep, exotic culture. It's full of contrasts: from traditional culture and history of houses made up of a tight bamboo framework with mud and cow-dung walls to modern urban infrastructure and much of the amenities you would expect from a city.
Volunteers can organize different possible excursions during and after the project to visit places of interest. There is a tourist infrastructure already in place the volunteer can use during weekends. For example: hiking, biking, palaces, art, temples, mountains, national parks, restaurants, hotels, clubs and many more.
