|
Scale the summits of glaciers, trek, packraft across lakes, plan your own expedition, learn climbing techniques, learn first aid, build an igloo and how to survive in the wilderness of Patagonia.
For six weeks the vast plains, alpine meadows, virgin peaks, and crystal clear lakes of Patagonia will be your home as you embark on this voyage of excitement and adventure. The stunning scenery and amazing variety of wildlife make this area of Chile an amazing place to visit. We will begin learning the basics of climbing, rescue techniques, first aid, cooking, and even how to build an igloo! We will then make an ascent on an unnamed peak that we planned and rationed ourselves. Then it’s a three day expedition across a snow covered glacier. Our last fortnight will be planned and led by you! Instructors always at hand, you will each be ‘leader for the day’ and help successfully plan the route, master the climbing skills, and lead the expedition across blankets of snow and over glaciers.
