During your 6 weeks in South Africa you will spend 5 weeks volunteering and a week on a guided camping safari in Kruger National Park. In Swaziland you will do 5 more weeks of volunteer work and then spend a week on the coast in Mozambique, where you will have the opportunity to explore local markets, enjoy water sports and snorkel with whale sharks. In South Africa volunteers will have the option of teaching in local schools or working at child care centres in the Emjindini township of Barberton. These provide care and education for disadvantaged children many of whom have broken families as a result of the AIDS pandemic. Likewise in Swaziland you will be assisting at locally run care centres to assist vulnerable children and orphans. There are also opportunities to teach at local primary schools, which are under-resourced and under funded.
