Imagine spending a couple of months on a gorgeous Caribbean island and returning home with more than just a tan... but also as a Spanish-speaking buceador (Spanish for diver)
Become a top SCUBA diver, practice your espaņol, and spend time on one of the most laid back and beautiful islands we've visited.
This is your opportunity to work at a dive shop and go PADI Pro on Roatan.
Work as a dive shop employee at Subway Watersports.
Learn how to run a small business operation focusing on adventure in a resort atmosphere. Extra focus is on learning about all of the local marine life, as well as understanding the necessity of conservation and environmental education on this rustic Caribbean island. Train to be an excellent SCUBA diver.

Time Period : 1 Month Minimum
For an Open Water Diver to attain the professional level of DiveMaster a 2 month internship is recommended.
Accommodation : Private bedroom in nearby flat shared with dive shop employee. Lunch is provided by Subway Watersports. Food for breakfast and dinner can be bought at large nearby supermarket and cooked at home. There are several local restaurants nearby of various calibers and prices.
Nearby there are loads of other opportunities, like the Iguana Farm, horseback riding, Carambola Botanical Garden, parasailing, jet skiing, 2 person glider submarine and more!
The Bay Islands: The Bay Islands are located approximately 40 miles north of Honduras in the Caribbean.
There are three islands, Utila, Roatan and Guanaja, as well as numerous cays. Roatan is the largest, measuring 29 miles long and 2 miles wide, with a total landmass of 49 square miles.
To train to be a PADI DiveMaster, an Open Water Diver must complete the following courses:
Advanced Open Water Diver, Rescue Diver, Medic/First Aid and DiveMaster, totaling approximately $1000 US in Instruction costs. Additionally, a diver must have completed a total of 60 Open Water dives (which can cost about $50 US each) before eligibility as a DiveMaster.
