Are you looking to take a career break and have IT skills and experience to share overseas? Challenges Worldwide are looking for individuals with IT experience to assist our network of hosts overseas.
IT is taking off in all of the countries we work in, and many of our host organizations request IT assistance to help develop their capacity to embrace new technology and enhance their organizations.
If you have IT skills there are several opportunities exist in Belize:
Project 1: This Government Ministry has been a partner agency of CWW for many years and volunteers have in the past had hugely successful research, teaching and legal placements with them. They are now looking for a volunteer to develop their IT capacity in the department and train staff in all levels of IT skills.
Project 2: This National Belizean NGO is widely recognized for its contributions to the care of the partially sighted and the blind. CWW have been working with it for several years now and we have had several successful volunteer placements with them. They have now requested a volunteer to assist them in implementing their new database and patient records system – teaching basic IT to staff of all levels as well as helping to train and implement their new knowledge management systems.
Project 3: This Quasi-Government Organisation require a volunteer to help them implement an information management system to allow them to catalogue and appraise their research effectively and efficiently.
If you enjoy working in IT and have a sound knowledge of basic or intermediate computing then get in touch with us. You will need to be an energetic individual with the patience and understanding to pass on your knowledge and skills. These are fantastic opportunities to really assist innovative NGO’s and departments whilst experiencing a new culture and community.
