Program description: |
|
|
Work as a conversational English teacher in a town or village in the city of Liberia, north-western Costa Rica. Teaching in a local primary school or university in the heart of Costa Rica, your role will be to encourage the students to interact and improve their spoken English. No TEFL qualification or previous experience is necessary as the children are taught English but simply don’t have the chance to practice speaking.
The prospect of standing in front of a class is a daunting one, but you will find that the students are so eager to learn and get to know about you, that you will have no problem keeping their attention. Projects Abroad will provide you with ideas and guidance to help plan your lessons and get started. Any specific skills you do have such as drama, sport, art or music can also be incorporated into your lessons or extra-curricular activities and are always welcome!
