Program description: |
The demand for English teachers in Vietnam has grown considerably since the communist government started opening up the West. volutneers are required to teach English converstation at universities and colleges.
A phemoninally beautiful country Vietnam offers a completely different cultural experience. The Vietnamese are friendly and hospitable people and living in a close vietnamese community is one of the great benefits of the year, although volutneers must be prepared for the lack of privacy this entails! Volunteers learn vietnamese and discover much about Vietnams varied history and culture. It is a fabulous country and one that is amazing to get to know. A year living there really gives the volutneers the opportunity to get under the skin of the country and see it from a unique perspective.

Benefits and advantages of the program: |
All our volunteers attend a selection course, a training course and on return after 12 months overseas, a debriefing course. We are a small charity and send roughly 200 volunteers to around 25 different countries every year, this means we get to know each of our volunteers individually. Over the last 36 years we have sent around 4, 000 volunteers overseas, with this experience we have built up a strong backup support network in both the UK and through out the world.
