Program description: |
GAP's medical placements are not necessarily intended for GAPpers planning on studying medicine at university, although that is frequently the case. GAP's medical placements are located in hospitals, hospices and homes for the elderly in Japan and these placements provide a real insight into the vital work that is done there.
The hospitals try to give a wide experience of hospital life so you may start in the maternity or children's ward and then transfer to another very different ward; you will obtain administrative experience as well.
