Montanita has it all! Spanish, Surfing (the best in South America), Scuba (amazing diving) Sand (a great beach) and Sun (its on the Ecuador – so its hot all year!) Montanita is THE place to come in when visiting Ecuador. A funky small beach town, with LOTS to do and see.
Our Spanish school is first class, and has a great atmosphere. Constructed in traditional fashion from Bamboo, it has incredible views overlooking the beach and ocean (for 6 months of the year you can even see whales passing by!) The teachers are experienced and friendly, and your Spanish will improve very quickly.
If you are a surfer, or want to learn, this is the location for you! The waves are superb, and it has justifiably been called the best surf in South America.
There is great diving on nearby islands. It has nearby famous beaches, important UNESCO archeologically sites, and the famous Isla Del Plata. Many guide books call this the 'poor mans Galapagos' as it IS teaming with wildlife, and you CAN afford to visit it!
You can also pout something back into the community by volunteering at either the local school, or a ecological farm, helping with very important local work to help the eco systems support the planet
