Costa Rica Study Spanish & Surf is one hot spot! Not only is the weather always warm but with 750 miles (1200 km) of coastline on two oceans, Costa Rica has more breaks than you can shake a stick at! The country's selection of surf spots range from stunning beach breaks to coral platforms where the waves tubes like a miniature Pipeline.
The country's surf is complemented by its great water temperatures - you can leave that wet suit at home - beautiful scenery, and the convenience of a variety of accommodations, restaurants and facilities near most breaks.
We are located in Quepos , right on the doorstep of the Famous Parque Nacional Manuel Antonio, minutes from the beach and central to the best breaks of the South Pacific Coast! Right in centre of Quespos you find a small left point . This is perfect for beginners and fun rides. PLAYITA is just 5 minutes form our school and is the best option very close for those who have surfed before. Just 6 miles to the south of us is PLAYA DEL REY, an excellent intermediate break. This right and left beach breaks peaks. It is a beautiful wild beach which barely touched by civilisation Study abroad and Learn Spanish at our Spanish language school in Costa Rica and go surfing!

Costa Rica
Costa Rica is a small country, situated in an excellent privileged location just north of the equator. It has a great variety of flora and fauna, and is surrounded by the Atlantic and Pacific oceans. It covers a territory of 51,000 square kilometers. It’s many natural attractions include more than a dozen volcano’s, rain forests, and stunning beaches. Costa Rica has set aside a quarter of its land for nation al parks. No other country n the world has done this. It is a wildlife lovers dream. This combination of natural wonders makes Costa Rica one of the most visited countries in Latin America. Costa Rica is an excellent choice to study Spanish abroad
The people of Costa Rica, also known as "Ticos," have their own culture and traditions and are very welcoming to visitors. If you want to learn Spanish in Costa Rica you first must learn about "pura vida." It can be used as a greeting or as a goodbye, but it mostly applies to the Tico way of life. You can feel it as you raft the rapids of the magnificent Naranjo River, hold a conversation with an "abuela" (grandmother) about her favorite recipes, or watch the sun set over the Pacific Ocean from the beach. It is a love of life, a feeling of community, a sense of pride in a peaceful history, and a willingness to share.
Quepos
Quepos is one of the Central Pacific's most well sort after destinations. Partly because it has a 'funky' beach town (15,000 people) feel to it, and also due to its proximity to fantastic Parque Nacional Manual Antonio. There are beaches right her in town, including our local surf beach! The town has a 'go for it feel' - with dozens of tour operators who run adventure trips into the raging rivers and wild mountain terrain just outside town. The streets are often deserted during the day when travelers are out exploring, or surfing, but come sunset, doors and windows open up everywhere, and the chatter of an upbeat population mixes with the relaxing beat of Latino music.
Nacional Parque Manuel Antoni - Adventures & Tours
Costa Rica is an outdoor adventurer’s dream with rivers, beaches, mountains, and tropical rainforest packed into a relatively small country of which over 27% is protected. Our home in Manuel Antonio, on the central Pacific Coast, is famed to be the perfect base from which to explore this rich biodiversity and many natural attractions.
Manuel Antonio National Park is the most popular and visited National Park of Costa Rica. These beaches are said to be the most beautiful in the country, lined with lush forest. The forest is home for sloths, iguanas, the rare and adorable squirrel monkeys, the white face monkeys and thousands of colourful little crabs. The trail that winds up to Punta Catedral offers spectacular views.
There is an abundance of activities in the area. Among others, we offer rafting on the Naranjo and Savegre Rivers, tours of Manuel Antonio National park, Kayaking and Boat tours of the Mangrove Estuary at Damas Island, Ocean Kayaking in the Pacific Ocean, horseback riding, canopy tours, etc. Although not included in the tuition fees, these tours are available through the Spanish & Surf School at well discounted prices
