|
The world becomes your classroom and experience your greatest teacher! Youth International is an experiential education program which focuses upon international travel and inter-cultural exchange, adventure, community service, and homestays. Teams of up to 14 people between the ages of 18 and 25, along with two group leaders, travel together to different regions of the world for a 12 week semester.
Youth International offers three separate trips. One travels to Asia (Vietnam, Thailand, and India), the second travels to South America (Bolivia, Peru and Ecuador), and the third travels to Africa (Kenya, Tanzania, Namibia and Botswana). All trips are offered twice a year. Once in the fall semester which runs from early September to mid December and once in the spring semester which runs from early February to late May.
A few highlights on the Africa program include: Living with tribal families in villages, helping to build water tanks for clean drinking water, searching for wild animals on safari in the Masai Mara (Kenya), climbing to a peak on Mt. Kenya, and enjoying the crystal waters and pristine beaches of Zanzibar Island (Tanzania).

Youth International opens the doors for young people to actively explore and discover a broader perspective on the world while developing a deeper understanding of who they are and what their place is within that world. Developing more personally and socially aware future leaders, Youth International also hopes to take small steps toward bridging the gap between people and nations and making the world a better, more peaceful place to live.
Through a balanced combination of experiences each Youth International team member is set up for an intense and dynamic first hand education on the region they are traveling. At the same time they are presented with a unique environment and opportunity for self discovery.
