Program description: |
The outward bound school operates throughout the world. The volunteers work within the school begining as helpers and working their way up to instructer status. It is a fantastic project if you enjoy outdoor activity. Volunteers will be taking groups of people sailing, trekking, and climbing. Set in a beautiful country this is an amazing oppurtunity to develop outdoor skills as well as learning about a different country and culture. Volunteers also help out and teach English at a nearby school.

Benefits and advantages of the program: |
All our volunteers attend a selection course, a training course and on return after 12 months overseas, a debriefing course. We are a small charity and send roughly 200 volunteers to around 25 different countries every year, this means we get to know each of our volunteers individually. Over the last 36 years we have sent around 4, 000 volunteers overseas, with this experience we have built up a strong backup support network in both the UK and through out the world.
