|
As a volunteer in Punta Arenas on our Business Internship Placement, you can provide effective and constructive help working on a variety of projects during the summer months (October to March). The offices are located in Punta Arenas City, right in the heart of Patagonia. When you arrive at work on your first day, you will be assigned a supervisor who will be able to advise and support you during your placement, and of course our Projects Abroad office staff are always on hand too.
You will get involved with the day-to-day activities of the office whether it be contacting different partner organisations, working with business support teams, designing or editing new promotional documents, attending meetings or working on set briefs. The variety of work you do will depend upon which sector placement you work in.Whilst this project is an unpaid voluntary work experience programme, in recognition of your work you may also be offered the chance to join some of the trips the company offers for free or other travel discounts may also be available.
Whichever voluntary placement you are working on, your input will be greatly encouraged and appreciated. Take the opportunity to make your own recommendations, or explain practices back home or learn some of the language! Your adaptability and willingness to learn will mirror the appreciation felt by your colleagues. These voluntary business internships give you a unique insight into the fusion of Western business methods with the Chilean way of life.

Qualifications required: |
|
|
All volunteers are required to have at least basic computer skills (Word, Excel and Internet Explorer) and will be asked to provide their CV to the company when first applying. All the roles include working alongside local staff and it's important to be happy working as part of a team.
An intermediate level of Spanish knowledge is a bonus for integration but not strictly necessary.
