|
Weekly AUD$200 Stipend offered to some applicants! Intern for an independent not-for-profit research organization that supports the conservation of the natural and cultural heritage of the Greater Blue Mountains World Heritage Area, surrounding Sydney. The Institute engages across a range of inter-disciplinary research and related activities including:
* Integrated Catchment Management
* Urban, Industrial and Rural Sustainability
* Ecosystem Resilience
* Visitor Management
* Culture & Heritage
Tasks Include:
* Collating data on ecosystem impacts of the urban development corridor through the Blue Mountains World Heritage Area.
* Compiling this data for a large scale research project.
* Contacting government agencies, universities and other research facilities to gather relevant information.
* Creating a list of research projects to insert into a database.
* Creating a brief to include meta-analysis of the collation.
Qualifications / Skills Needed:
* Eager learner from age 18-30 years
* Preferred: Environmental Science Background
* Preferred: IT and database management skills (or an interest in gaining these skills)
