Global Crossroad offers an array of internship opportunities in Asia. Internships take place in India, Mongolia, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Thailand, and Tibet. The focus of each internship may vary. Internships abroad are a unique and special way to see a new and beautiful country while having an enriching, educational experience. Interns can combine their internship with a Language and Culture program.
INTERNSHIP INDIA:
Global Crossroad organizes internship India program especially for international students in the differing areas of orphanages, sustainable agriculture and conservation, English teaching, and health care. Global Crossroad can offer internship in India in any area, related to India, in collaboration with our local partners. Areas of India internship include (but are not limited to):
Teaching English
Rehabilitation
Orphanage
Women issues
Peace and Development
Health sector
Indian Culture
Journalism
Under the India internship program, the intern engages in daily project activities. In most cases, interns develop a report paper in a particular area of interest by working closely with the Asia volunteers' project staff. Generally, the director of this project serves as a supervisor for the intern. As an intern, you stay with host families who live near the project in which you are involved. Most of the time, the director of the project will work to help you successfully complete your field report. Please contact Global Crossroad if you need any help locating information and materials for your internship program. In order to get the most out of your internship position in India, Global Crossroad recommends at least two weeks of language and culture programs. These programs will provide you with a necessary, comprehensive start in exploring the every day issues of India. Many times, language difficulties hinder the effectiveness of interning. Furthermore, it is possible to organize extra tutorials with experts of particular areas with additional fees. Global Crossroad suggests that you correspond with us if you have special needs for your internship.
INTERNSHIP MONGOLIA:
Global Crossroad in collaboration with local partners organizes an Internship Mongolia program especially for volunteers whose goal is to research or study a particular field. Areas of Mongolia internships include (but are not limited to):

INTERNSHIP TIBET:
Are you interested in the study of Buddhism or the culture of Tibet? Global Crossroad's internship in Tibet program offers opportunities for international students to develop skills and undertake in-depth study of any areas related to Tibet. With the help of local project staff, we offer internship abroad opportunities in Tibet in many areas such as:

In our Tibet internship program, you will engage in daily activities of the project, working directly under the supervision of a local supervisor (usually the head of the project). Global Crossroad will find the best expert possible in your area, but you will be responsible for developing the scope of your internship project taking into account your own interests in collaboration with your supervisors. At the end of your internship project, you will need to submit a report of your internship project.
