|
Our journalism project in Ethiopia offers volunteers the chance to work for one of the largest English language publications in Ethiopia: the Addis Fortune. The Fortune is an independent business weekly that was set up in 2000, and has rapidly grown to become the largest circulating paper in its field, with a weekly circulation of 7,000.
Volunteers with an interest in business would find this placement especially interesting as a chance to view, at first hand, the business climate in East Africa while gaining general media experience overseas. Volunteers will have the opportunity to write and publish at least one article per week in the newspaper. These articles may be restaurant reviews, gossip columns, events coverage or general lifestyle pieces about a topic assigned to you by the editor.
