Get work experience on a newspaper in Chisinau, Moldova's historic capital. Projects Abroad works with a number of local papers, and you can intern in a variety of fields, including news, sport, business, and more. There are also frequent opportunities to interview local dignitaries - or foreign diplomats. No Russian or Moldovan language skills are required, as your writing can be translated into the local language.
A journalism placement in Moldova is ideal for those seeking work experience, and is open to those with any journalistic background - or with no prior experience whatsoever. The portfolio you build is subsequently highly useful when applying for jobs in this sector after your placement.
