|
You will get a range of experiences working with local doctors and will be able to see a lot more than is normally possible in your home country. Many of the doctors speak English, but for those who do not, a local medical student will be provided by Projects Abroad to act as a translator. Your supervisor will be the Rector of the Faculty of Medicine. In addition to the normal daily work around the hospital, there is also the opportunity to assist him with his classes and in the editing of the University Medical Journal.
There are opportunities working in the trauma department where emergencies are dealt with and also the possibility of helping in surgery, as well as working in the oncology department. If you are interested in homoeopathic medicine you could choose to spend some time working in a new homoeopathic medical centre.
