|
This is a great program that combines learning Spanish in beautiful beaches with excellent surfing lesson. Surfing is an extremely thrilling and enriching sport but it is also very challenging and intimidating to learn. For this reason many beginners become frustrated after a few exhausting hours of paddling around and getting washed by the waves with little success. We offer surf lessons to help people feel more comfortable with a board in the surf. In this way they can overcome that initial stage in the learning process more quickly so they can experience the true thrill and joy that is surfing. Lessons can be taught in English so they can have the comfort of learning a new sport with instruction in their native tongue or in Spanish so students can also acquire the Spanish language in an enjoyable, context-rich environment.

Spain is a centre for surfing in mainland Europe. Surfers from all around the world test the waves, especially in the Pais Vasco (Basque Country) area where Bilbao lies. Mundaka is the most famous left in Europe. Known worldwide it must be in the top 10 surf spots on the planet. It is so popular due to the length of ride and the speed that it breaks to the river mouth.
Few cities can offer so many alternatives in one single area: marvelous scenery, beaches, mountains, folklore, remarkable customs and traditions, tapas, bars and an internationally recognized cuisine.

We have the following packages on offer. These start every Monday. They include 20 hours Intensive Spanish classes, 1 hour surfing lesson per day (5 days a week), Surf board and wet suit hire, your one off and summer registration fees, and the opportunity to surf much more outside Spanish class time. Please add your accommodation option (prices are from 90 Euros a week)
