Program description:

In Accra our volunteers work in a large Police hospital in the neighbourhood popularly known as Danquah Circle. Nursing and Dentistry are available here. Midwifery volunteers are required at the Sakumono Community Hospital, a small local hospital which specialises in surgical and maternity care.

In Cape Coast the Central Regional Hospital requires physiotherapists, nurses, midwives and dentists, as well general medical volunteers. It is one of the most modern hospitals in Ghana, with a wide range of departments and a large amount of new equipment.

What are the dates of this program: The project runs all year with completely flexible dates. You choose when you go and how long you stay, from one month upwards.

Qualifications required:

You do not need to have any prior study or experience in Physiotherapy to volunteer on the placement as we welcome pre-university students as well as current undergraduates, postgraduates and qualified physiotherapists.
