|
|
Intern in Chile is an independent program whereby candidates gain real international work experience while immersing themselves in another culture. Start dates are the first Monday of each month and we place year round.
Program includes: airport pickup, intensive Spanish language course for first three weeks, some excursions, work assignment placement, work assignment is 4 hours per day, 5 days per week, English speaking Intern Advisor in-country, your own room in a shared apartment with other Adelante candidates or with a Chilean family - you choose (housing is ALL close to the beach).
Participating companies are large, public entities (Chilean Customs, Public University, etc) or small to medium sized Chilean owned companies. We have 14 Sectors available incluing Teaching English, Graphic Design, Marketing, Social Work, International Business Development, Engineering, and MORE...

There are numerous Internships and sectors to choose from; The amount of time you choose to intern is flexible, with program lengths ranging from 1 to 6 months; This can be a non-academic or academic internship - you decide; 3 weeks of intensive Spanish language classes are included in the fee; Lodging is included; You will be met at the airport when you arrive in Santiago, Chile, taken directly to your lodging (this is about an hour and a half drive). You will gain real, international work experience to add to your resume, and you can become bi-lingual if you apply yourself. Instead of just visiting, as a tourist, you will be living and working in Chile -- there is really no other way to truly learn the language and the culture...

Some Spanish skills are helpful, although we are able to place true beginners in certain Sectors. College student or already graduated is best due to independent living conditions.

Salary/pay/benefits description: |
|
|
All internships are unpaid, excpet for the Teaching English work assignment which offers a small weekly stipend of around $40US each week.
|
|
|
|
