Program description: |
|
|
A Law placement in Ghana will give you a range of experience, from the exhilaration of life in Accra to really practical legal work-experience. You will be placed in a law firm in the capital city. The firms generally specialise in Ghanaian business law, but there’s plenty of criminal and civil litigation too. Depending on your experience, you’ll help with writing case notes, researching cases and precedents and composing letters. When your supervisor attends court you can join him and see how the system really works. Ghana is an English speaking country so there’s no problem with communication, but as a native speaker, your written skills in particular will be in demand.
You’ll stay with a local family, allowing you to get a true taste of Ghanaian life. Throughout your stay you will have the assistance of our own Accra based Ghana office, and staff nearby.
