Program description: |
|
|
In Tamil Nadu, Southern India, we place volunteers in general hospitals and specialist clinics dealing with all kinds of conditions from kidney problems, TB to leprosy. We also run programmes in maternity clinics or you can work alongside doctors who will show you ancient traditional medicine (ayurvedic) techniques. You will be able to spend your time shadowing, and depending on your abilities, assisting a doctor – going everywhere that he or she goes and seeing everything that he or she sees. Whether you are looking to study medicine in the future, already half way through your training or a qualified doctor, we will tailor the placement to match your interests and abilities, to provide you with an experience that can only benefit your medical career.
