Are you a computer whizz who wants to make a real difference? ProWorld offers the chance to teach basic computer skills to students who might not otherwise have the opportunity due to limited resources. ProWorld have combined the opportunity to partcipate in real, sustainable development projects with a range of cultural and adventure activities to give you an unique experience of a lifetime.
Real Projects...
ProWorld's NGO Internship Programmes place volunteers in focused developmental projects with one of our affiliated non-government organisiations. This gives all our volunteers a chance to make a real difference in the community in which they are placed. With one of the least developed education systems in Mexico, many children in Oaxaca do not make it past primary school before dropping out to work with their parents. By teaching valuable computer skills, such as typing, microsoft word and excel, you are making a direct difference to the future of children and young people in the Oaxaca region of Mexico.
Real Memories...
Partake in a wide range of cultural and adventure activities that present the opportunity for you to view a side of Mexico unseen by most visitors. This will leave you with a real feel for Mexican traditions and culture.
-Visit Craft and Migrant Communities of Central Valleys
-Attend remote community cultural events
-Explore rural Zapotec Villages
These and other daily adventures combine with cultural excursions and productive volunteer work to form a comprehensive and unique experience.
Real Experience...
Consisting of experiential learning, hand's on development work and cultural immersion, each of the ProMexico programmes challenge you to grow as an individual and as a member of our global community. You will gain skills in development work, leadership and crosscultural communication. Participants develop meaningful realtionships with local community members by working and living together. In addition, relationships with other participants are created through shared experiences, academic challenges and team projects. For many participants these are the most rewarding aspect of their ProWorld experience.
