|
Volunteering on a Medicine & Healthcare project in Mongolia can be an eye-opening experience. As a volunteer you will gain a great deal of valuable work-experience alongside some of the most skilled and inspirational doctors in the country. The facilities are generally of a very basic standard and patients will often have travelled vast distances to attend appointments.
Hospitals in Mongolia also welcome volunteer physiotherapists whether you are fully qualified or looking to gain some initial experience. All three projects run in large public hospitals in the Bayangol district of Ulaanbaatar; Physiotherapy volunteers work in the State Trauma Hospital, Nursing volunteers in the State Children's Hospital and Maternity volunteers in the State Maternity Hospital.

Qualifications required: |

You do not need to have any prior study or experience in Physiotherapy to volunteer on the placement as we welcome pre-university students as well as current undergraduates, postgraduates and qualified physiotherapists.
