The Au Pair in France program runs year-round and is offered for 10 to 12 months. Most placements start in September and end in June. A limited number of summer positions are available.
As an Au Pair, you will live as a member of your Host Family, providing a maximum of 30 hours of childcare per week. Some of your duties may include dropping the children off and picking them up from school, interacting and playing with the children, helping them with their homework, helping to keep their rooms clean and cooking light meals for them. Each family situation is different and schedules will be arranged with your Host Family. You may be asked to baby-sit in the evenings, but no more than 2 times per week. Au Pairs are not responsible for housework unrelated to the children or for managing the household.
