Program description: |

|
We are looking for people interested in community volunteering to work on US children’s summer camps. Summer camps are part of the American culture and way of life and there are over 12,000 throughout the USA. Last year, Camp America sent 9000 people from all over the world to work on summer camps in the States as Camp Counsellors, Special Needs counsellors and support staff.
Positions are available to suit candidates’ level of skill and experience. Placement can be on a variety of summer camps including camps run by not for profit agencies and aiming to help deprived children from urban areas including those with problems of homelessness etc.
US summer camps are residential, set in beautiful country settings generally by a lakeside. This is a great opportunity to work in an international setting with staff from all over the world.
Application is via the Camp America programme. Camp America provides placement matching with a camp, sponsorship for J1 cultural exchange visa, free flight from London and all support prior and during the placement.
