Salary/pay/benefits description: |
 |
|
Salary: trainees are paid the same wages as other British workers doing the same job, in accordance with the law on National Minimum Wages. This is £4.10 per hour gross payment for 18 - 21 year olds; and £4.85 per hour gross payment for over 22 year olds. Trainees work up to 40 hours a week and thus can earn approximately £164.00 - £194.00 gross per week. In addition, trainees may earn more money by working paid overtime hours when available. A shift system of work usually operates, with trainees normally receiving two free days per week, not necessarily at the weekend. Each hotel has its own working arrangements to which trainees must conform.
