Playargentina is an English Sports and Travel Operator based in Buenos Aires.
We co ordinate Sports and Travel Tours to Argentina as well as offer services to many students that arrive here, either just as a point of contact or to arrange other tourism services on their behalf.
This gives students the re assurance and confidence that there is an English speaking contact here in Buenos Aires to advise and help with any issues that may arise.
We have a complete portfolio of servies to include Spanish programmes which are designed for the more serious Spanish student. In the main, many of our students are advanced and are unable to find the level or teaching expertise to meet their needs at the many other schools in Buenos Aires.
Due to the demand from students currently studying in Buenos Aires, we have designed work experience programmes here in Argentina working with horses. This gives students the opportunity to really experience everyday life in Argentina. Many of the students have a passion for riding and there is no better place in the world than Argentina.
There are a number of different options open to students wishing to work with horses in Buenos Aires, namely........
Hipocampo Horse Riding schools
There are 3 riding schools in Buenos Aires owned by the Hipocampo stables.
There are over 200 horses stabled catering for riders of all ages and
abilities. The disciplines include Dressage, Showjumping, Cross Country, Outrides and Polo.
The programme caters for students to work as an assistant Groom with highly qualified staff. All duties would be carried out under the supervision of a professional Groom.
The ability of each student will be assessed on arrival and duties assigned accordingly.
Working on a tradional Argentine Estancia
The Estancias are approximately 1 hour outside of Buenos Aires.
The grounds are immense and stable up to 75 horses.
The Estancias themselves are luxurious and are fully equipped and maintained to entertain tourists and weekend guests.
Horse riding is the main interest and allows students to assist the Gauchos with everyday duties.
Duties will be subject to the ability and experience of each student.

Many of our students who are studying Spanish at University or are studying the language in some other capacity now want to progress further in their studies.
A Free Assessment is offered by the teachers before each course to ensure that the students are challenged. The classes are designed to be as intensive as you want them to be.
The programmes not only offers students first class tuition but there are no extra costs often applied by many of the more commercial Spanish schools in Buenos Aires.

This course focuses on basic grammar and conversational Spanish. All the teaching literature is designed to give the students a basic understanding of everyday Spanish and the confidence to engage in conversation and understand the grammatical structure of the language.
Intermediate
Students begin to practice and learn the more advanced grammatical practices of Spanish with more emphasis on reading, comprehension and listening skills. An emphasis is placed on reading and discussing newspapers articles as well as translating Spanish music to build both on grammatical understanding and strengthen vocabulary.
Advanced
The Advanced classes pay particular attention to Spanish Literature as part of the curriculum. This is an opportunity for students wishing to study their own particular Spanish literature to do so. Popular authors that are featured include Borges, Rulfo, Cortázar, Fuentes, García Marquez and Vargas LLosa.
Online Tuition
Many of our students wish to continue with their studies after leaving Buenos Aires. We therefore offer an online service for our students post classes. For those that are studying Spanish at University find this service both extremely helpful and economical to further their education.
Combined with our Spanish programmes there is no better place in the world to learn more about Horsemanship than in Argentina. The tradition of Polo and Gauchos is one of the highlights of Argentina.
The schools that offer work experience are the best you will find in Buenos Aires.
The Director of The Hipocampo Riding Centre, Gerardo Minuzzi is an ex-national 3 Day Eventer.
Gerardo has over 15 years experience both in 3 Day Eventing and Showjumping tuition and has trained two Olympic Team members of the Argentine Squad, namely Lucas and Gregorio Werthein.
Hipocampo has a number of Riding schools in and around Buenos Aires to cater for all levels and experience. The school has over 200 horses from the beginner to the more advanced rider.
The staff that work at the schools are extemely friendly and look forward to sharing their love for horses with fellow riders.
