ELEP - Experiential Learning Ecuadorian Programs is a cultural, educational and social institution that designs and delivers customized programs for individuals and groups who want to learn about the Ecuadorian culture by studying Spanish, volunteering or interning abroad, offering in this way a wide range of practical experience (internships) and social and conservation action (volunteer) opportunities for young people, students, professionals and retires who want to make a real difference and travel with a purpose.
Internship Programs
If you are a career or you are planning a career, our internships programs are an invaluable preparation for your career, a serious practical experience placements and are designed for those who wish to work in work environment.
Internship Positions
The number of placements for our internships is not limited and here you are some fields in which you can interning:
Medicine, Economy (accounting, marketing, finances, foreign commerce, audit, etc), Architecture, Law, Media & Journalism, Agriculture and Nature resources, Computer, Education, Environment Sciences, Engineering, Social Work, Education, Psychology, Tourism, etc. Others fields upon request.
Volunteer Programs
A volunteering opportunity with ELEP is a great and meaningful experience in helping others through your participation, where you will gain a whole new perspective of the world, to support a cause, share your knowledge, meet new people, or to develop new skills.
Volunteer Positions
The fields in which volunteers can help are:
Agriculture, English teaching, AIDS, Healthcare, Animal welfare & Veterinary, Homeless, Biological projects, Building, Human rights, Childrens shelter, Micro-enterprise, Community service, Microcredits, Conservation, Disabled Projects, Organic farming, Eco-tourism, Education & Teaching, Social service & work, Eldery, Street Kids among other.
Locations: Rural and Urban places throughout Ecuador: Quito, Machachi, Pujili, Latacunga, Otavalo, Ambato, Galapagos, Puerto Lopez, Mindo, Amazon Region and many other places.
Minimum Length: 2 weeks for volunteer programs and 4 up to 12 weeks for internship programs
Maximum Length: 6 months for internship and volunteer programs
Program Dates: Year-round
Requirement: A high basic level of Spanish as minimum.
Schedule: Monday-Friday from 08:00am to 17:00pm (6 - 8 business hours) for both programs
Accommodation: Homestay (fullboard)
Applications: Year-round
Deadline: At least 4 weeks before start date (2 weeks for last minute application)

Interning vs. Volunteering
An internship is done for professional development. It is an opportunity to gain experience and learn about a professional field through work. While all of our internships are unpaid, overseas experience will greatly enhance your resume.

Application: $ 100
Placement: 200
Accommodation: 91 in the mainland and 120 on the Galapagos fullboard per week.
Spanish Lessons: 120 per week, 20 lessons.
Special offers:
4 weeks of Spanish lessons + 8 weeks of internship/volunteer + accommodation = $ 1500 in the mainland
4 weeks of Spanish lessons + 8 weeks of internship/volunteer + accommodation = $ 1800 on the Galapagos
