|
API students in Madrid, Spain, will have the opportunity to study at one of four fine universities: The University Complutense of Madrid; Suffolk University; The University San Pablo - CEU; and The Antonio de Nebrija University.
Students at The Complutense University of Madrid will be able to select their program of study based on their Spanish language proficiency and their learning goals. Students at all levels may participate in the Spanish language and culture program; students at the high-intermediate to advanced level may participate in the Hispanic studies program. Both options allow students to take Spanish language courses at their level of proficiency, as well as to select from a variety of cultural electives.
Students at Suffolk University in Madrid will participate in a liberal arts program that features a variety of electives in business, arts, natural and social sciences, communications, and more. Courses are offered at various levels in both English and Spanish.
The program at University San Pablo - CEU is for students with an advanced to superior level of Spanish who want to take classes in an immersion setting with Spaniards. Students will also be able to choose from a variety of courses offered in English or Spanish. Students who qualify for this program will choose up to 2 courses with native Spanish students at the University San Pablo - CEU, and then select up to 3 courses from the API/Suffolk University English Speaking Liberal Arts & Sciences program. Internship opportunities FOR CREDIT may be available for students with a 3.0 GPA and at least an intermediate level of Spanish language proficiency. Specific requirements vary per placement. Students at the Antonio de Nebrija University will be able to study Spanish language and culture at all levels during the summer term.

All four API programs in Madrid offer a variety of course choices and language levels for students at various levels of proficiency. Suffolk University even offers a number of electives in English!
Students also receive a transcript from an accredited foreign university, tuition and fees from a foreign university, housing, meals, medical and life insurance, several cultural excursions and events, an on-site director, pre-departure and on-site orientations, airport reception, online services, a mobile phone, student services, language assistance, email/wireless access at API offices, and more!
