Program description: |

|
There are two programmes for this course both combine a Italian language course with learning how to scuba dive. For detailed information on the langauge course please refer to the CESA Brochure.
Programme 1: Discover Scuba Diving
Students learn to scuba dive and explore the underwater world. Students will visit coral reefs; awaken their creativity by the art of underwater photography. Prior to departure, there will be an introductory program, which covers an overview of the trip, what to expect, what to bring, preparation materials, study requirements and a question and answer period.
Requirements: Prior diving experience is not required. However all students must be comfortable with water.
Programme 2: Advanced Open Water Diving
This programme gives students the chance to sample 5 different specialties of diving interests while increasing and expanding their diving skills: Night diving, deep diving, wreck diving, underwater photography, these are but just a sample of scuba diving specialties students will be offered.
In this course, students will also learn to locate and recover objects from underwater. Different search patterns will be instructed and deployed. Once the object is located various rigging techniques will be used to safely bring it to the surface. Additionally this course is designed to help students gain better buoyancy control. Better control means more enjoyment in your diving and better air consumption rates - more bottom time.
Certification will be issued following student's safe demonstration of search and recovery techniques over 4 dives. Additionally, students will take an excursion on the Mediterranean Sea to Capri and Positano by boat.

Requirements PADI; Open Water Diver Certification or equivalent. Prior diving experience is required.

Students will not only be taught by professional native speakers qualified to teach Italian as a foreign language, they will also have the benefit of being able to practice their language whilst out and about in Italy. Students will be instructed on their diving course by experienced and qualified instructors, and will be diving in beautiful waters. This is a course sure to be informative and lots of fun!
