Playa Tamarindo is one of the country's most beautiful beaches. The long, white sand beaches and crystal clear waters attract nature lovers, surfers, turtle watchers and sun seekers all year round, even in the rainy season. Though it is a great tourist destination, the town and area still have a very Costa Rican feel. Local fisherman and farmers still live and work as their families have for generations before them.
Tamarindo has a great deal to offer to people wanting to combine a vacation with a language learning experience. There are many shops, hotels, restaurants, galleries, tours and adventures to occupy their time outside of classes. Deep sea fishing, scuba diving, surfing, kayaking, zip lining and ATV’s are just some of the adventure activities in the town.
The school is located two blocks from the beach. The school facilities offer outdoor classrooms under a canopy of tropical tress and indoor classrooms with a/c. The building has recently been remodelled and has an open feel with lots of windows and plenty of natural light.

CSI is a private language school that partners with Brookfield College to offer academic credits. A small school it typically has about 20-40 students on site, and is therefore able to offer very personalized attention. Our undergraduate Spanish credit program is from Brookhaven College in Dallas, Texas. This institution is accredited by SACS, the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. These are undergraduate, degree seeking Spanish credits for college and university students wanting to fulfil their home institution Spanish requirements. Obtaining advance approval from your institution is necessary, as each district, college, or state has its own policies regarding the types of credit it will accept.
