If you looking to seriously improve your German talk to CESA. We offer 12, 16, 20 or 24 week language courses in BERLIN for students who really want to get to grips with their German language skills. The Academic Year Programme is perfect if you want to combine your German language study with an exploration of Berlin and the German culture, through living and studying in Germany.
It is aimed at students with beginner to intermediate German, aiming to achieve fluency over a number of months. The Programme ensures rapid acquisition and long-term retention of all aspects of language knowledge and is an invaluable way of focusing on your language skills development, with like-minded people. It provides a solid grounding in core skills and leads up to recognised Language Diplomas, so you have something concrete to add to your CV, at the end of your course. Students who wish to prepare for specific language exams recognised by the German Ministry of Education can sit the Zertifikat Dutsch exams at the college, as it is an official testing centre for the ZD exam.
Alastair, 21, wanted the chance to improve his German, have fun and give himself life skills that could open doors for him in the future by way of employment before starting his training to become a Lawyer.
"I could not have imagined to have had such a rich and varied experience as I did. I met people from all corners of the world and had the opportunity to explore the ‘Wunderschön’ city that is Berlin. I look back with fond memories on what was probably the best three months of my life. Due to the length of my programme and the full immersion technique I was very happy with my language progress. I also conducted my social life exclusively in German, which was great!
The school was fantastic, there was a warm atmosphere and it was easy to make friends. The lessons were well prepared and the teachers got on well with students and vice versa. Many jokes and much laughter were had in the lessons which made it a pleasure to learn.
My fondest memories are strolling around Berlin at night with friends from the school, going to an excellent Jazz bar, going to the Olympic Stadium, and playing Frisbee in the Tiergarten Park.
I would recommend others to experience living abroad, meeting people from all around the world and learning life skill which is highly satisfying and can open up new opportunities. If you have a few months to spare, I would defiantly recommend learning a language abroad, its Fantastic!"
