|
A 3-month experiential Semester in Australia, New Zealand and Fiji. Our group of 12-16 spends two weeks in Fiji building houses for underprivileged families. In NZ the group spends two weeks on an educational/adventure tour of the north and south islands, visiting sites of cultural and historical importance. In Australia the group is involved in rugged outdoor conservation work, learns about the Aboriginal culture in the Outback, spends time at a Buddhist retreat center, and gets SCUBA-certified on the Great Barrier Reef. The semester is a great blend of learning, volunteer work and adventure. Spring 2005: February-May; Fall 2005: September-December. High School and lower-division college credit is available. Cost: $8500. includes all program activities, food and lodging. Does not include cost of international airfare (up to $2400). Open to anyone age 17 or older.
