The neighbourhood schools originally built to educate the local children quickly became overcrowded, so new schools needed to be built. These new schools aim to provide the children with the tools they will need to build a better life for themselves. Only through education can these kids have a fighting chance to get out of the ‘barrios’ they grew up in. Volunteers are needed to teach English in these schools, as speaking English is a way for the children to be qualified for better jobs once they are adults.   Placement details: i-to-i volunteers work in schools located in the suburbs of Posadas. Volunteers work in primary schools that were built within the past few years in response to growing populations in the suburbs.
