|
Escape big city life and discover the true spirit of country living by volunteering in the Mexican communities of Zaragoza and Aramberri. You will find yourself sharing your knowledge of the English language and spreading the word by teaching English to the women and children in the villages. You may also discover that all your weekends have come at once as a spot of DIY with a difference is likely to be in order. Be prepared to roll up your sleeves and redecorate homes with recycled materials, maintain outdoor spaces and create gardens. If you have a passion to make a difference and a burning desire to get hands-on experience of Mexican village life then make sure you bring with you your flair for creativity, bundles of ideas and a proactive and enthusiastic outlook on life.
This project offers an extensive 4-day orientation in Mexico. Together with other volunteers, you will be given a unique introduction to the country and the opportunity to integrate into its culture before embarking on your project. Includes: airport pick up; orientation briefing; excursion to Cuatrocienegas and Rio Mezquites; and a 6-hour intensive Spanish lesson.
