Program description: |
 |
|
In recognition of the importance of learning English, the Ecuadorian government requires English to be taught in the schools, but there are not enough qualified teachers. By volunteering to teach English, you will be offering a very valuable and appreciated service. You can choose the location and age level of your students as well as how long you would like to teach. While giving to the community you will be living in, you will gain valuable teaching experience and have the chance to observe the development of the students. ELI works with schools throughout Ecuador. We have placements available in Quito, the Galapagos Islands small towns in the Andes, the Amazonian basin, the coastal lowlands, and small towns in between. You can also choose what age group you would like to teach: preschoolers, elementary school students, secondary school students, and adults.
