Program description: |

|
To provide theoretical and practical assistance to Primary school, English teachers in the Districts. Volunteers may be leading a class or acting as a teacher's aide, reading literature and teaching maths, most importantly improving low comprehension levels and poor pronunciation. Through this interaction teenagers and teachers participate in an exchange that can often lead to valuable dialogue about different cultures. Also, by working with local teachers you are providing new and innovative ways to teach the English language that they can use with future students for many years, thereby making a long-lasting impact that benefits the entire community. Even beyond the instruction itself, by working with these teenagers the volunteers are showing them someone cares and providing the enthusiasm many of them need to continue learning. As a role model and mentor, volunteers are helping enrich the young adult's world for many years after the volunteer has left.
SACHABU CARE FOUNDATION is an NGO-Non Governmental Organization operating at the Accra,Akatsi,Saltpond,Kpando and Hohoe District in the Volta and Central Region with its headquarters in Accra-Ghana.
Formed in 1999, the foundation is now duly registered with the Registrar General’s Department and the Department of Social Welfare as a certified NGO with Registration No: D.S.W - 2070
