|
We work in several different types of school, from large community schools that serve as focal points for the local area to small, temple-based schools. Most volunteers work with primary-age children, but we can also place volunteers in secondary schools if preferred. Most of our placements are based in and around Krabi on the southwest coast of Thailand. The Thai teachers are highly skilled in teaching English grammar but are weaker when it comes to mastering, and hence teaching, conversational skills and how the language is actually used. Volunteers focus on conversational English, which is why they are in such high demand.
