Volunteer on this programme to earn a reputable 100 hour TEFL qualification and teach English in Thailand for ten weeks. Teaching in Thailand gives you the chance to experience the customs, traditions and culturally rich areas of a unique and distinctive country, whilst contributing towards the community development and education of its people.
This volunteering adventure takes you to teach English in Thailand and aid community development by making a real, positive impact to the education of the underprivileged local communities. By being a volunteer in Thailand on this programme, you can immerse yourself in the inspiring local culture of Thailand whilst gaining a valuable and widely recognised TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) qualification. The TEFL course gives volunteers the opportunity to progress from a beginner’s level to the level of a highly skilled teacher of English as a foreign language. Therefore this volunteer project is an exciting and constructive choice for your gap year, career break or adventurous overseas experience.
As well as gaining a reputable TEFL qualification and teaching English to help community development in Thailand, volunteers will also get the opportunity to explore the stunning region in which they are based. You will be located in the Krabi Province of Thailand, which lies on the Andaman Sea and is an area of magnificent scenery, spectacular natural marine and terrestrial environments, and numerous national parks. So whether you are looking for a career in teaching or just want to go on the trip of a lifetime, being a volunteer in Thailand will provide you with the fulfilling and worthwhile experience of a lifetime!

Qualifications required: |

No previous experience or foreign language skills are required to join this project, as it is included in a comprehensive training programme designed to give volunteers all the necessary skills needed. The course is open to anybody of at least 18 years of age, as long as you have an interest in languages, strong verbal and writing skills and have an educational background equivalent to that required to gain entrance to a higher education institution. We require that non-native English speakers have a high proficiency of the English language in order to meet the course demands effectively. All volunteers must be willing to work hard as part of a team and learn throughout the experience. Pre-existing background knowledge in teaching techniques is an advantage, although not essential as there is the opportunity to learn from whatever level.
The TEFL course is to the highest standard and everyone must be enthusiastic, adventurous, have a good sense of humour and be respectful towards the host country’s culture and environment.
