The elephant mahout project at Ban Tha Klang village is the first level of project which it can help the elephants and mahout who live at Ban Tha Klang village and the close areas. At the present, the problem of elephants in Thailand don't get better. The elephants don't have enough food so it's the problem wander of elephants in the main cities of Thailand. When there live in the cities, It's many problem in the social, the traffic jam and another. Do you know about problem? Why did there leave from hometown? Because It's haven't food for them and the forest became to the eucalyptus farms. There cant eat. However, If we would like to help them from this problem, We will help them together and coordinate from government and the individual section. By the home stay project, there can make earn and has income so they don't go out from this area because the elephants and mahout have a good welfare.
About this project, We can mix about learning of culture, the local knowledge, exchange culture and raise level of the mahout to have popular and famous in the world. We hope that this project will help them also there can make money for food of elephants and live in the village forever.

You will not only learn how to ride your elephant but also how to care for the elephant. You can learn about the traditional life of the mahouts and about the life of local people in this old and small village in Isan
