|
Work as a teacher in vibrant and cosmopolitan Rabat. Voluntary teaching in schools in Morocco doesn't have to be just about English teaching. French-speaking volunteers also have the opportunity to teach French. As the language of government and commerce, French is generally understood in towns and cities. Your role will be to encourage the students to interact and improve their spoken English/French. No TEFL qualification or previous experience is necessary as the children are taught English but simply don’t have the chance to practice speaking.
The prospect of standing in front of a class is a daunting one, but you will find that the students are so eager to learn and get to know about you, that you will have no problem keeping their attention. Projects Abroad will provide you with ideas and guidance to help plan your lessons and get started. Any specific skills you do have such as drama, sport, art or music can also be incorporated into your lessons or extra-curricular activities and are always welcome!
