NONSTOP Ski & Snowboard is a family-run company with a passion for the mountains, snow sports and adventure. Our 6-week 'master the mountain' course is a ski or snowboard improvement course which also offers the chance to gain level 1 Canadian instructor qualifications.
'Master the Mountain’ is designed for those who want to spend an extended time in the mountains improving their skiing or snowboarding both on the piste and in the backcountry powder. The primary focus of this course is to develop your all-mountain skills so that you can ski or snowboard with confidence and style on all types of snow conditions and terrain. Additionally, as part of your ski or snowboard improvement you will be coached to achieve the Level 1 Canadian instructor qualification.
The first four weeks of the course will consist of coaching at all of Banff’s three resorts; Lake Louise, Sunshine and Mt. Norquay. Having teamed up with SkiBIG3, the tri-area snow sports school for the three resorts of Banff, we are able to offer instruction at all three of Banff’s ski resorts and the course package includes a season pass to all three areas. Our team of ski and snowboard coaches are amongst the highest qualified instructors in Canada.
Throughout the programme you will work towards your level 1 instructor’s qualification, the assessment for which will take place in week 5. The level 1 course will have huge benefits on your personal skiing or snowboarding as it provides a technical approach and will enable you to analyse your own mistakes which in turn will result in a steep learning curve.
A two day recreational avalanche course, two days of backcountry touring in the Banff area and weekend trips to Kicking Horse and Fernie are also part of the package.
The grand finale is a 4 day lodge based touring trip in Rogers Pass. On this trip you will be hiking for fresh tracks and while witnessing some of Canada’s most stunning scenery you will be putting into practise everything you have learnt during the course.
Accommodation during the course is in a comfortable 4 star hotel, flights and breakfast and dinner are also included.

Our 6-week course is an ideal Career Break or Gap Year experience providing the chance to master your skiing or snowboarding whilst opening up exciting opportunities within the ski industry. If you are thinking of spending a season in the mountains this course is a great way to start your season with a bang. A full season lift pass is included in the cost of the course giving you the opportunity to stay on in Banff afterwards. Qualifying as an instructor will develop communication, management and team-leadership skills as well as having huge benefits on your skiing or riding.
