Program description: |
 |
|
As one of the world's best netballing nations, Australia is the perfect place to train and reach your sporting potential. You will work with professional coaches and instructors and play for an Australian netball club, pushing you to reach your peak in a fun and supportive environment.
The programme is designed to be as group focused as possible and revolves around three key areas: strength and conditioning, group fitness and club training/matches. You will be given personalised training goals and sessions depending on your strengths and weaknesses, with a view to achieving high performance throughout the programme. Training and playing with an Australian netball club will not only create a competitive arena in which you can shine, it will also provide an opportunity for you to make new friends during the ever popular post-match celebrations.
You will be based in Brisbane, Australia's third largest city, where sport is not only something most people do, it is a way of life. There will be plenty of opportunities for you to watch competitive matches across a number of different competitions, including the ANZ Championship which sees the Queensland Firebirds play some of Australia and New Zealand's best netball teams. There is also a range of social and adventure activities included in the programme (from sailing to horse riding), to help you make the most of your time in Brisbane.
As well as excellent facilities, an action packed social calendar and friends for life, you will be staying in superb accomodation and have three nutritious meals a day. Airport pick-up, 24 hour support (locally and from the UK), a free t-shirt and free access to a state of the art weights room, cardio gym and swimming pool are also included. Please note you will inccur additional costs for expenditures such as flights, visas and travel insurance - we can provide advice and assistance on all of these.
