|
The Instructor Development Course (IDC) teaches you how to teach the PADI system of continuing education in the classroom, confined water (pool), and open water. During our training program you will learn how to plan and organize all of the PADI training materials so you may become a successful instructor. We have several instructors at the Akumal Dive Shop who are qualified to assist in your training. The goal of our course is to get you ready to teach in the real world, not just pass the Instructor Exam (IE).
Our highly qualified instructors will share valuable information with you on how to teach scuba diving, and you will have practice training sessions to fine tune your skills. We will develop your diving knowledge with over 22 required classroom training sessions in our comfortable and convenient classrooms. The final portion of your IDC will be conducted in the warm and clear waters of the Caribbean. By preparing you to dive in the real world you are more than ready to be successful at the Instructor Examination. We are so sure of our product, based on our success rate, that if you are unsuccessful at the I.E. you can return to an IDC at no additional charge. We will work with you until you become a PADI Instructor.

* The IDC cost is $1,198.00USD per person.
* The IDC material cost is not included and could be around $472.00 USD for the IDC crew pack which contains all the required material for the IDC and IE.
* The EFR will cost $150.00USD per person plus material which could be around $93.00USD.
* Candidates should pay apart the EFR certification fee which is $48.00 USD.
* Students should pay apart the PADI IE fee and application fee respectively $440.00 USD and $100.00 USD.
