Program description: |
|
|
This program is intended as an introduction to the underwater world of Mexico's barrier reef. Participants will learn to scuba dive then conduct fish, coral and invertebrate studies of sections of the local reefs.
The first stage is learning to scuba dive and takes 4-5 days. The participants then spend several days diving on the local reefs to gain familiarity and improve skills. They will then spend 1-2 weeks diving daily on the same reefs and counting fish, corals and other species on fixed sections of reef to collect data to contribute to long term understanding and measurement of the reef's health.

$999 for 2 week program or $1299 for 3 weeks. Includes use of training materials, instruction and certification and all equipment and diving.
Price does not include food and accomodations which can be arranged and quoted separately depending on wants and needs of participants. Accomodations can run the full range from rustic cabins on the beach to all inclusive resort.
