|
Go from beginner right through to certification as an SSI Master Diver. As well as having the confidence and ability to scuba dive with a dive buddy, you’ll complete deep dives, boat and shore dive, night dives and wreck dives. You’ll develop skills in underwater navigation, marine species identification and underwater search and recovery and diver stress and rescue as well as learning to lead dive groups.
Some Subjects covered are: Scuba dive in open water to a maximum depth of 18 meters, Perform diver rescues, Complete underwater search and recovery dives.
Dive Specialities include: Navigate prescribed routes underwater, Complete computer aided dives, Complete night dives, Take still photographs underwater, Complete drift dives on Scuba, Dive at altitude greater than 300 metres, Complete wreck dives, Complete deep dives to between 18 and 40 metres, Identify marine species common, hunt and collect pre-selected objects underwater, Complete dives off boats, Complete shore dives.
SEA KAYAKING
Gain technical skills, confidence and knowledge towards interpreting weather, managing risks, navigating and co-leading people on sea kayaking adventures. Exploring the majestic coastlines of New Zealand, seeing creatures of the seas all form part of this learning experience and all under the watchful eye of industry experts.
Subjects covered are: Roll a sea kayak in sheltered water, Demonstrate sea kayaking skills on sheltered water.
Qualification gained: Adventure Education Sea Kayaking Co-Leader Award
WHITE WATER RAFTING
Experience the thrill of training as a guide on some of the best rafting rivers in the world. Gain the technical skills and knowledge in weather interpretation, risk management, leadership and outdoor navigation.
New Zealand enjoys an outstanding reputation worldwide for training high quality and talented rafting guides. Industry experts will hone your skills that you will be able to ultilize throughout the world.
Subjects covered are: Demonstrate rafting skills on grade 2 water
Qualification gained: NZRA (New Zealand Rafting Association) Aspirant Guide Award (Stage 1) (subject to qualifying criteria)
