Join training programs in the areas of education, agriculture and domestic animals, productivity, health, construction, and other important areas of development. Volunteering is a great and meaningful experience in helping others where you will gain a whole new perspective of the world, to support a cause, share your knowledge, meet new people, or to develop new skills. To live and work with the poor of another country provides the type of classroom that no other study abroad experience can possibly replicate. Volunteers experience a unique way of appreciating the world while helping developing communities to help themselves. Simultaneously the volunteers help to empower the host communities in creating renewable, sustainable programs. ELEP provides volunteers the opportunity to live and work side by side with a host community. The hosts provide a safe and interesting setting in which to learn, help, and have fun. ELEP develops short-term and large-term volunteer programs in international environments that encourage people to immerse themselves in a unique way of giving back. The project will involve working with the local ecuadorian villagers to empower them and contribute to the well being of the country. The experience will not only help the local villagers, but it is designed to provide the volunteers with an excellent opportunity to learn about ecuadorian culture and to share their experiences of their own culture with ecuadorian people. The experience of assisting the villagers in a rural community will provide a great chance to see village life up close and make a lasting contribution to the community in which the project takes place.
